Haynes Labour Hire now has an office location based in Chinchilla. With the Chinchilla and Surat Basin region booming in the renewable energy and construction sectors Haynes Group saw a great opportunity to supply local labour hire.

Haynes labour hire initial focus has been the various solar farms in the area, with plans to mobilise over 400 employees in total including locals and indigenous personnel to local solar farm projects.

The boom in renewable energy has been great for the small local town and it's residents with other large projects in the pipeline. The Western Downs is quickly becoming known as the Energy Capital of Australia. The reputation is due to strong investment over the past 15 years by the Energy Production Industry (EPI), into coal seam gas but more recently in renewable energy farms.

With Haynes Group future vision to support renewable energy and technology solutions for industries, a local presence was a necessary step. These renewable energy projects offer short- and long-term work within the region.

Zoe Cahill-Allen is our new Candidate Liaison Officer in the region and she says about living in Chinchilla "I’ve lived in Chinchilla for 3 years and personally I would have to say the best part of living here is the people and the strong sense of community."
